2000 Born in Kyoto, Japan. 2024 Graduated from the Ceramics Program, Department of Ceramic, Glass, and Metal Works, Tama Art University. 2025 Began working in ceramics in Akishima, Tokyo. He grew up in Kiyomizu, a historic center of Kyoto ceramics, and was deeply influenced by the ceramic collection assembled by his father, a restaurant owner, particularly its sculptural objects. His practice explores the relationship between the material properties of ceramics—such as hollowness, plasticity, and traces of bodily actions—and the cultural meanings associated with the form of the vessel. Taking the vessel’s structure as a physical container as a point of departure, He seek to expand the concept of the vessel into a framework for receiving the body, the mind, and others, exploring how the meanings of existing forms and images can be transformed.

Biography 略歴
- 2000 Born in Kyoto, Japan.
- 2024 Graduated from the Ceramics Program, Department of Ceramic, Glass, and Metal Works, Tama Art University.
- 2025 Began working in ceramics in Akishima, Tokyo.
- He grew up in Kiyomizu, a historic center of Kyoto ceramics, and was deeply influenced by the ceramic collection assembled by his father, a restaurant owner, particularly its sculptural objects. His practice explores the relationship between the material properties of ceramics—such as hollowness, plasticity, and traces of bodily actions—and the cultural meanings associated with the form of the vessel.
- Taking the vessel’s structure as a physical container as a point of departure, He seek to expand the concept of the vessel into a framework for receiving the body, the mind, and others, exploring how the meanings of existing forms and images can be transformed.
- In this process, He also approach the histories of contemporary ceramics and fine art as subjects of quotation and reinterpretation. By interweaving materials, the body, and different cultural and historical contexts, He seek to reconfigure established systems of meaning and value, exploring new possibilities for form-making.
