Sakae Ozawa

Born in Shiga Prefecture in 1980, Sakae Ozawa moved to Kyoto to pursue her university education. From 1999 to 2003, she studied in the Oil Painting Course within the Department of Fine and Applied Arts at the Kyoto University of Art and Design (currently Kyoto University of the Arts). Following her graduation, she moved to Europe, spending a year in Germany before relocating to Austria to enroll at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (Die Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien), where she studied from 2004 to 2008. After graduating from the Academy, she returned to Japan and has since been based in Kyoto, where she continuously creates and exhibits her artwork. Alongside her career in painting, Ozawa has worked extensively in commercial publishing, providing illustrations, cover art, and creating numerous picture books. Her work is included in major public collections, such as The National Museum of Art, Osaka, and the Shiga Museum of Art.

1980年　滋賀県生まれ 1999年-2003年　京都造形芸術大学芸術学部洋画コース 2004年-2008年　Die Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien (ウィーン造形美術大学) 1999年、大学進学後に京都へ転居。 2003年京都造形芸術大学（現・京都芸術大学）芸術学部美術工芸学科洋画コースを卒業し、渡欧。1年間のドイツ滞在を経て、オーストリアに移住しウィーン造形美術アカデミー（Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien）に入学、2008年に同校を卒業。帰国後は京都と東京を拠点に制作・発表を続ける。
