※ The exhibition period has been extended until November 22. 'By painting, I do not fix space and time onto the canvas. By painting, I release everything, space and time alike. In this exhibition, I want to create not a place where one arrives, but a place from which one can go anywhere.' Many viewers probably think of fantasy or stories in response to Sakae Ozawa's worldview. But that is not so. Ozawa does not fix and accumulate her images; she scatters fragments of images and calls viewers in. At the same time as viewers are drawn in, the forest, the trees there, and the undergrowth lit by the sunlight filtering through them begin to sway as if starting to rustle, and before you know it a kind of passage has been prepared there. That passage continues further and further down and, as if welcoming you, leads you to the forest at the bottom of the sea. There, a magnificent 'Orchestra Under the Water' will surely be waiting for you.
