Katano completed the graduate program at Kyoto City University of Arts and has moved from place to place, through London and Poland. Katano, who does not say much about his own paintings... yet the images he paints are eloquent: amid overwhelming color, he paints paintings that give the impression of 'Man-ga' without speech balloons tangled up with picture diaries. Though they are bodies of work equipped with a clear rationale that none can match, viewers will for some reason find themselves bewildered in the labyrinth of Katano's 'Man-ga'. The exhibition includes past works and new works. Please come and see it.
